Our Room No.6 is still in developement. The third-floor suite is built around the reconstructed bell tower, rebuilt with Bennington College students from an old photograph and a handful of historical paintings. Raw fir beadboard lines the new tower, where an antique bell hangs with its rope running down to the first floor living room, to be rung on special occasions. The space is a bit of a departure from the rest of the interiors, furnished with a range of midcentury and contemporary furniture. There is a large living room, two train car style recessed bunks with curtains, a full bath with a soaking tub, and a king bedroom with a Donald Judd style platform bed. Raw plaster walls, an exposed brick chimney, and antique beams and joists envelop the space. Large casement windows face east to the Green Mountains and west across the field to the barn and Mount Anthony.
